I was born and raised in the Eastern Cape, in Mthatha where I did my lower grade and high school studies. I did my undergraduate studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville campus, majoring in cell biology. I then proceeded with my honours and master’s studies still at UKZN focusing on cryopreservation i.e conservation for plants. I am currently studying towards obtaining a PhD degree with the Medical Biotechnology and Immunotherapy Research unit at UCT, conducting a cancer-related research. I am a hardworking, dedicated and enthusiastic young scientist with a welcoming spirit. I am passionate about improving learning and teaching standards in South Africa and encouraging young black South Africans to reach their utmost potential through strengthening and expanding their intellectual capacity.
