Who is FLY?
Fun Learning for youth is a registered non-for-profit and public benefit organisation that aims to provide free maths and life skills tutoring services to disadvantaged learners.
FLY is purposefully 100% volunteer operated and managed by passionate individuals who believe in contributing meaningfully to society. FLY offers a unique platform for professionals to volunteer their time as tutors and mentors to empower youth through education.
Our mission
To provide learners with an environment that is conducive for learning through the provision of learning materials, food and a safe space to think and work.
Funding model
As a registered NPO and PBO FLY’s funding model is based on a public fundraising and sponsorship model. We raise funds in the following ways:
- Annual gala dinner
- Individual pledges
- Corporate social responsibility donations
We use our funds for the following:
- Corporate social responsibility donations
- Operations (incl. stationery, catering, and learning implements)
